Sea moss/Irish Moss is a seaweed known as Irish moss.
Our wildcrafted sea moss is harvested along the coastline of Jamaica, and dry preserved in the sun. It is a nutrient-dense superfood, which contains 92 of the 102 minerals that the body needs as well as vitamins and other essential compounds for a healthy body. It is commonly used to make smoothies, porridge, desserts, gravies, health drinks, and can be cooked in soups, used as additional ingredients for thickening cakes or ice cream, or just about anything that you consume. Its scientific name is Chondrus Crispus.
Dr. Sebi spoke highly about our Jamaican Irish moss; Irish Moss/Sea moss has many minerals, but the most abundant mineral is Calcium.
Irish moss/Sea moss needs to be washed several times, then soaked for 15 minutes before use.
HOW TO PREPARE FINE SEA MOSS:
1. Rinse the sea moss to remove any excess sea salt.
2. Soak in spring water or distilled water to re-hydrate. The sea moss will become softer, but will not swell up like a large variety.
3. TO USE (NO-HEAT) - Add the whole sea moss to the blender when making smoothies, etc., and enjoy!
4. TO USE (ADD HEAT) - Boil the re-hydrated sea moss in distilled or spring water then blend to form a gel. Add the gel to your foods and enjoy the mineral-rich properties!
IMPORTANT!! Please blend fine moss with a very small quantity of water to begin. After it gels, you can add more water and blend until it gets to the consistency you prefer.
